How to DOUBLE your internet speed by changing just two settings

The days of being tied down to a computer workstation are long behind us.

Even if we use the exact same desk and have the same laptop, we still like to have the ability to connect to the Wi-Fi so we have the freedom to roam around the home or office. Of course, our tablets and cell phones use Wi-Fi constantly while within range before switching over to cellular data and yet when you speed up your internet it can be slow
But a wireless connection can be unstable. There are many factors that affect it such as distance from the router, how thick the walls are, and how much interference there is especially from other Wi-Fi networks from the neighbors!
How to increase your Wi-Fi and Internet speed in 6 steps: Step 1: You need to download a Wi-Fi Analyzer app on your phone. If you have an Android device, download Netgear Analytic App. If you are on an iOS device, download any Wi-Fi Analyzer app.
Step 2: Launch the app and analyze your Wi-Fi setup – you will notice that you connect on a specific Channel eg. Channel 1.
Step 3: Look at the other Wi-Fi networks and what channels they are using.
Step 4. If you notice that the other Wi-Fi networks are also using the same channel as you are, then on the Netgear app there is an option to see which channels are better to use. On the iOS app, look for channels that are free – typically these are 6, 11, 44.
Step 5: Log into your Router and find the Wi-Fi settings. You can change the channel from AUTO to one of the free channels.
Step 6: find the WAN/ IP setting in your Router and change the Primary DNS to 1.1.1.1 and Secondary DNS to 1.0.0.1. This will use Cloudflare DNS for better speed.

You are done and your Wi-Fi should be more stable and have better connectivity!

Wi-Fi Plus is the second offering. According to the company’s website, this is a monthly add-on to Wi-Fi 6 for those looking to ensure their Wi-Fi connection works in all corners of their home. It cost $10 a month. Company technicians install the services and determine the number of access points needed for the best experience. A combination of the two creates “an unmatched home Wi-Fi experience that is only offered by Telus,” the company says. “We all know what it feels like to have that one spot in our home where the Wi-Fi connection just isn’t as strong, and the frustration that can cause ourselves and our families,” Zainul Mawji, preside...

The Average Ping Speed

By Jacob Andrew Many services, particularly games, measure performance according to ping. Acquiring your ping is relatively easy, but interpreting the results requires a deeper understanding of Internet bandwidth and server response times. To get your average ping, use tools available natively to Windows, or online speed measurement websites. Understanding Ping Ping measures the time it takes for a remote device to respond to your ping request. The results are measured in milliseconds or ms. As part of the Internet Control Messaging Protocol, the ICMP ping command requires a specific destination. Your response time varies depending on the location of that destination, typically a server or router. Pinging your gateway address, for example, should result in less than a 1 ms response time. Pinging google.com, however, may take 50ms. A single ping is also affected by a number of factors, including load on the server and congestion on your own network; this is why ping commands ...
